Neta Profiling – Aam Aadmi to Ameer Gunda

best place to buy isotretinoin online uk Members of Parliament in the Lok Sabha represent each one of us. However their financial assets & criminal backgrounds are a different story. Here we compare MPs from different states in the country and figure out whether they are Aam Aadmis or Ameer Gundas or a mixture of both.

All candidates who contest elections in India submit to the Election Commission, a self sworn affidavit with details of criminal records & financial assets. These affidavits are used as a source here. Usually candidates grossly undervalue their financial assets in these affidavits. However despite this it is apparent that MPs are much much better off than the average person who they represent in parliament.

Only states which have at least 4 MPs have been covered in this analysis.

Here is a state wise break down of the criminal & financial background of an average MP from each state.

It can be said that high financial assets can also be acquired through fair means. However our parliamentarians are public servants by choice and are hence expected to focus their efforts towards the people. Often, the  amount of wealth they gather while in office can be dizzying. Thus it is only natural for the public to question the assets of our parliamentarians.

In order to further characterize MPs based on their states, we have taken the liberty of categorizing them into 4 broad classes based on their criminal backgrounds & financial assets.

Aam Aadmi – The not so rich MPs with few pending criminal cases
Ameer Aadmi – The rich MPs with few pending criminal cases
Aam Gunda – The not so rich MPs with many pending criminal cases
Ameer Gunda – The typical MP. Master of crime & money

We covered in a previous article how Abu Salem & Dawood Ibrahim could end up contesting elections in India one day. One thing is for sure, they have the right credentials to make it big in Indian politics.

  1. how can rich think of the welfare of the poor…!!! one, they are rich,, secondly they have powers.!~!!! every possibility to corrupt.!!

    1. @facebook-100000900641903:disqus  True. We should always appreciate the power of the ballot box. That is the best response to inefficient governments. Usually more effective than ”hunger strikes”.

    1. @4bf51c4546d9067335cf7ea458470644:disqus  We will try to do it for candidates given tickets by parties. That way we will be able to see the kind of candidates backed by parties.

  2. WHEN WE TALK ABOUT CORRUPTION IN INDIA, WE MUST NOT KEEP IN OUR MIND PRE-CONCEIVED NOTIONS: 1) THAT ALL IN POWER/POSITION ARE CORRUPT. 2) THAT CORRUPTION CAN BE EREDICATED WITHIN IN SHORT TIME SPAN. 3) THAT WHATEVER METHOD WE ADOPT, HOW SOEVER… GOOD LAW IS PASSED BY PARLIAMENT, HOW EFFECTIVELY AND EFFECIENTLY IT IS IMPLEMENTED, THE PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED OVERNIGHT. THOSE WHO ARE HOLDING RESPONSIBLE POSITION IN GOVT./STATE GOVT. LIKE PRIME MINISTER/CHIEF MINISTERS, ALL MINISTERS, ALL SECRETARIES. HEADS IN PARLIAMENT/STATE LEGISLATURES- LIKE SPEAKER, CHAIRMAN OF HOUSES, MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT. IN THE JUDICIARY – ALL JUDGES. HEADS OF ALL POLITICAL PARTIES, OFFICE BEARERS. HEADS OF NGOs/TRUSTS AND THEIR WORKING COMMITTEE MEMBERS/TRUST MEMBERS/FUNCTIONARIES. ALL ABOVE MENTIONED CAREGORIES SHOULD DECLARE THEIR ASSETS ALONG WITH THE PLEADGE THAT THEY HAVE NOT ADOPTED ANY CORRUPT MEANS TO ACQUIRE THE DECLARED WEALTH/ASSETS. THE GOVT. OF INDIA MAY ISSUE A SCHEME OF VOLUNTARILY SURRENDER OF WEALTH WITHOUT QUESTIONING THE PERSON DOING SO AS A TIME-BOUND ONE TIME CHANCE TO THOSE WHO ARE READY TO BECOME Mr. clean PROVIDED THEIR IDENTITY WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED NOR ANY ACTION WILL BE TAKEN UNDER ANY LAW OF THE LAND. I THINK, IF WE TAKE ONE BY ONE STEP TO EREDICATE CORRUPTION, IT WILL BRING GOOD RESULTS, INSTEAD OF THINKING TO BRING A LAW LIKE LOKPAL BILL AND IMPLEMENT IT RUTHLESSLY. OF COURSE BILL IS ALSO ESSENTIAL AS A LAST RESOLT TO COMBAT CORRUPTION AND ITS EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION. WE HAVE ALSO TO ENSURE THAT THOSE WHO ARE ASSIGNED RESPONSIBILITY OF IMPLEMENTATION UNDER THIS LAW ARE REASONABLY FAIR AND RESPECTABLE FREE FROM CORRUPTION.

      – We also need to understand that corruption is not isolated to the top politicians/bureaucrats etc. These people are not morally or ethically worse than us. It is just that their corruption will always be highlighted due to their positions. People like us also need to make conscientious efforts towards not being corrupt.
      – A lot of times corruption/crime can occur due to unemployment/poor pays etc. It is equally important to look at these factors. If we have a country where the majority is educated & living in well developed areas with good jobs, the need for crime/corruption would automatically go down.

  3. The only danger to our democracy is from those who enjoy power/position to do good for the people but they are not performing their duty rightly as a result of it there is poverty, adultration in all commodities with high prices/they are creating crisis/dis-satisfaction to common man/frustration/mis-management and other eveils which common does not like at all.

  4. we have to look in our selves before talking of weeeding out the corruption from society.to say only politicians,or the people wid power r corrrupted vl be like living in fools paradise.these ppl were also aam admi before gettng nominated/elected. we have to change the moral fabric of aam admi to change the society.we have to start from down and then go up in the heirarchy.we all hv to leave the chalta hai/jugaad attitude.be ready to sacrifice somethng to gain somethng.be honest to expect others to be honest.

  5. Most of the cases are on opposition by ruling parties.
Most of the money is from land deals.
Only faster trials can solve the labels and put the criminals in Jail.
As for the TAG of AMIRI, The Manmohan Congress is of the RICH, for the corrupt and by the foreign (SWISS & ITALIAN) banks.

  6. Thanks a lot wahsarkar for putting up such facts. I just had a talk with
my friend who runs a school at my native place in U.P.  I asked him to
translate your blog in hindi and read it out in front of the masses
during the next school function , line by line as u have written.
Its time to educate the masses.

  7. Can WahSarkar publish following  data:

    1. Change in MP asset value from one election affidavit to the next affidavit
    2. Party wise average of the above data.

    Thanks

      1.  Thanks – I had heard drugs and flesh trade are evergreen. Now there appears to be a serious competition to these trades…. and this one is totally “legal”
